Co-Designer + Co-Facilitator: Because of the high level of responsibility and time sensitivity of this role’s duties, there should be two people in this role at any given time. They are responsible for establishing the agenda, designing, and facilitating meetings. They then work with the Storyteller/Griot/Record Keeper to memorialize and share the outcomes of meetings.
Specific Responsibilities:
Network Manager: Maintains connections between BBC and external partners and other organizations the Coalition is connected to. The Network Manager holds the relationships, ensuring that information is widely shared and effectively communicated. Specific Responsibilities
Storyteller/Griot/Record Keeper: Takes care of records, files (i.e. meeting notes, pamphlets, etc.) and other relevant information. They make sure files are well organized and accessible to the Coalition and people who hold this role in the future. This role is similar to that of Secretary on a board of directors. This person works closely with the Network Manager and Co-Designers + Co-Facilitators. Specific Responsibilities Make sure there’s a notetaker at each meeting (capture the agenda, provide an overview of the meeting’s discussions, and document any decisions/outcomes). Work with the Co-Designers + Co-Facilitators to edit meeting notes for conciseness and clarity.
Inspirer/Enthusiast: Brings passion and works to generate excitement and buy-in for projects, partnerships, and events. This person is responsible for making sure that all Coalition activity is receiving the time and attention it needs in order to serve the Coalition and the broader community. Specific Responsibilities
Member: Community member that gives and receives time and expertise. This is a role that all members of the Coalition assume. They share and advocate for the needs of the community members they serve.
*This can be a great role for new community members interested in joining the Coalition Specific Responsibilities
